The Wellbeing and Equity Vice-President champions student wellbeing and equity at the University of Auckland. This role focuses on advocating for students in areas such as health, support services, and inclusivity, ensuring AUSA is responsive to the diverse needs of the student community.
Working closely with University partners — including Campus Life, the Equity Office, and advisory networks — the Wellbeing and Equity VP helps shape initiatives that support student wellbeing and equity. They represent AUSA on decision-making committees, build strong stakeholder relationships, and act as a bridge between the University and the student body.
Within AUSA, the VP supports the Senior Leadership Team, collaborates with portfolio officers, and ensures equity groups are supported and engaged. This role combines advocacy, problem-solving, and community building.
