The International Students Officer (ISO) advocates for and represents international students at the University of Auckland. This role ensures that the unique perspectives and needs of international students are recognised in University decision-making, primarily through the International Committee.

The ISO chairs the International Student Subcommittee and works closely with AUSA staff to deliver events and initiatives that support international students’ experiences on campus. Collaboration is key, with responsibilities including developing the Ubuntu magazine alongside the Engagement Vice-President and contributing to broader AUSA events and campaigns.

As a member of the Executive, the ISO attends meetings, reports on international student issues, and helps strengthen the sense of community for international students. This role is both representative and hands-on, offering opportunities to create meaningful change.  Applicants must be international students at the University.
