The Engagement Vice-President (EngVP) is the driving force behind AUSA’s campaigns, advocacy, and engagement initiatives. This role focuses on championing issues students care about beyond the classroom, from climate change and transport to elections and national policy.

The EngVP leads campaigns at the University, local, or national level, ensuring students’ voices influence real change. They oversee AUSA’s Themed Weeks, manage the “Weeks Tender” programme, and chair the Craccum Administration Board. Collaboration is central — the EngVP works closely with portfolio officers, such as the Women’s Rights and International Students Officers, on projects like special-edition magazines and student-driven campaigns.

As a member of AUSA’s Senior Leadership Team, the EngVP also helps guide the Executive’s strategy while attending Council and Executive meetings. With a balance of advocacy, creativity, and leadership, this role offers the chance to make tangible change for students.
