The Queer Rights Officer role is back on the ballot. Voting in the by-election runs online from Monday 12 October, and it only takes a few minutes with your UoA login.
Voting in the AUSA Queer Rights Officer (QRO) by-election opens online at 9:00 am on Monday 12 October and closes at 5:00 pm on Friday 23 October.
The by-election was called after No Confidence prevailed for the QRO position in the 2026 AUSA Executive Elections. The successful candidate will join the Executive for the full term, from 1 December 2026 to 29 November 2027.
The Queer Rights Officer represents and advocates for LGBTQIA+ students at the University of Auckland. They chair the Queer Student Council Subcommittee, represent queer students on University equity committees, and look after Queerspace, AUSA’s community space for queer students.
