Craccum is on the hunt for its next Editor in Chief. If you've got strong editorial judgement, a knack for leading people, and a vision for what the magazine could be, applications are open now.
Applications are now open for the Editor in Chief of Craccum, the University of Auckland's student magazine.
Since 1927, Craccum has been the independent voice of Auckland students: news, features, satire, culture, and commentary, written by students for students. The Editor in Chief leads that work. It's the magazine's creative and operational head, responsible for both the print edition and the online edition.
The role is hands-on. You'll set the editorial direction, plan and run the production calendar, commission and edit stories, and lead a team of section editors and volunteer contributors. You'll also help shape where Craccum goes next across digital, social, and multimedia.
We're after someone with strong writing and editing skills, the organisational nous to juggle multiple deadlines, an instinct for a good story, and a genuine feel for student issues and campus culture. Experience managing a team or coordinating volunteers is a real advantage.
The role can be held by one person or split between two Co-Editors, so apply as a pair if that suits you better.
