How to Retrieve Lost Items 

Where: Main AUSA Reception, Level 1, 4 Alfred Street, Auckland CBD.  
Hours: Regular business hours 

What to Bring: 

  • A description of the missing item 
  • The location where you may have lost it 
  • Proof of ownership if requested (e.g., unlocking a device, connecting to Bluetooth) 

Coming prepared will help us return your items quickly and efficiently. 

Other Places to Check 

AUSA is not the only location on campus that collects lost property. You may also want to check: 

  • Campus Security Office – 24 Symonds St 
  • Hiwa Recreation Centre Main Reception – 17 Symonds St 
  • He Āhuru Mōwai – Level 2 (for items lost in Kate Edger Information Commons) 
  • Faculty Receptions and Student Support Offices – depending on the building where the item was lost 
  • Assessment Services Centre – during exam seasons 

Tip: Check all relevant locations before reporting an item as permanently lost.

Important Notes

  • Not all lost items are turned in, so please act promptly. 
  • For valuable items, consider whether a police, security, or insurance report is necessary. 
  • If your phone, bank cards, or other sensitive items are lost, make sure to lock them immediately after checking all locations.
