FAQs

Can I attend the concert if I'm 17?

Yes, you can! The concert is R17. If you are under 18 you will be given a coloured wristband indicating so. This means you will not be able to purchase or consume alcohol on the night of the event.

When do tickets go on sale?

Tickets are on sale now! Buy your ticket online here.

What types of tickets are there?

There are two types of tickets- UoA students and General Admission. If you’re a University of Auckland student, check in for extra discounts. You will need to show your student ID card on the night.

Where do I collect my ticket?

Tickets will be emailed to you with the email you sign up with. Keep a copy so we can scan you in on the day. You’ll also be given a wristband at the check in desk.

Do I need to bring ID?

Yes, you will need a valid form of photo identification to enter the concert. Acceptable forms of ID include a NZ passport, NZ driver's licence or Kiwi Access (18+ Card).

If you’ve ordered a UoA student ticket, you’ll need to bring your UoA student ID too.

How do I enter the concert?

Entry for the concert is at the top of Alfred St, from Princes St. Please have your ticket ready to go with the QR code open.

If I leave the concert, can I re-enter?

Once you leave unfortunately, you cannot re-enter.

Can non-UOA students attend?

Yes, they can; GA tickets are available.

What food is available?

There will be a range of food trucks available serving hot food and non-alcoholic drinks.

Can I bring water?

Please bring an empty reusable water bottle to fill up at the event at a free water station, or you can purchase water from the vendors onsite.

What time does the concert end?

The grand finale is at 10:30pm – but don't worry, the memories will last forever!

I have a bag, can I leave it somewhere?

Security will be checking bags on entry but there is no area to leave your bags, so only bring what you want to carry!

My friend doesn’t have a ticket, can they buy at the door?

Alfred's Street Party 2026 is going to be a sell out, so try and get tickets as soon as you can. We'll update via our instagram page if we release more tickets, but we encourage you to secure them while you can!

Will the concert go ahead in the rain?

Come rain or shine, assume we're jamming unless you hear otherwise. The show must go on!

I have mobility needs; is there somewhere I can watch the concert safely?

Definitely – inform us at ticket check and we’ll show you a great spot!

What time are the gates open?

Gates open at 5:30pm, and close at 7:30pm.

What happens if the concert is cancelled?

Full refunds are available if the event is cancelled or rescheduled to a date that you cannot attend.

If I can't make it can I transfer my ticket to someone else?

If you need to transfer your ticket, please contact tickets@ausa.org.nz.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Please contact tickets@ausa.org.nz if you need a refund.

Will there be photography at the event?

Photography and filming may take place at our events and images may be used as promotional material on our website, social media, and publicity materials. If you have any objections to being photographed or filmed, please alert the photographer or a member of staff.
