The University will remain in remote teaching mode until at least Thursday 27 August, unless the review next Friday justifies a change. The exception is the Te Tai Tokerau campus, where some in-person classes will continue during this period, with Whangārei staying at Alert Level 2.

Level 3 Plan is for remote learning across our campuses with the following exceptions:

  • Kate Edger Information Commons will be open for study space and computer labs for students who do not have suitable study conditions at home.
  • The Library will offer a ‘click and collect’ service for its collection from early next week, operating from the General Library at the City Campus only. Digitisation and courier services will also be returning. For a full update on the services returning next week, please keep an eye on the Library website.
  • Some ECE centres will be open to children of essential workers only.

We advise that if  you have any questions or concerns regarding your teaching or studies this semester, please complete this form here.

Covid Testing

The Auckland District Health Board states if you have any cold or flu-like symptoms, you should get tested for COVID-19. The suggested process is as follows:

  1. Call your family doctor first and ask to get a COVID 19 test. It will be free if you say you are just needing a test. If your usual doctor is not available, they should recommend another family doctor that can test you.
  1. You can also visit a designated GP (see link below for more information) to get tested. You do not have to be enrolled to get tested at these clinics.
  1. You can also visit an Urgent Care Clinic (see link below for more information). Some of these are open 24 hours, 7 days a week.
  1. The final option is to visit a Community testing centre (see link below for more information).
